Create a BOM

1. Select Home > BOM in the Navigation Menu. The BOM tab window displays.
2. Select your project from the Project dropdown in the Ribbon Menu. The left pane displays the list of BOMs defined for the project.
3. Click Add in the Ribbon Menu. A new row with a default BOM Name and Description is added.
4. Select the new row.
5. Click in the BOM Name and Description cells to change the default.
6. Click Save in the Ribbon Menu.

What to Do Next

Once you have created the BOM, to build the BOM, you can either:

• Select a part or assembly from the master parts list. See Add Parts to a BOM.
• Add a part or assembly that doesn't exist in the master parts list directly into your project BOM. See Add Parts to a BOM.
• Import the part or assembly data from a file. See Import a BOM.
